Community
At Staplehurst School, we pride ourselves on our strong links with the local community.
Reverend Silke from All Saints church and Father Andrew from the United Reformed church come into school weekly to take a whole school assembly.
Members of the local WI keep our raised beds in excellent shape and run a gardening club in the Autumn and Spring where children are giving the opportunity to grow fruits and vegetables and keep our flowerpots looking stunning.
Children in year 5 and 6 are invited to read in the ‘List of the Fallen’ in All Saints church on remembrance Sunday. The school plans trip to the All Saints church for the children to enhance their RE learning.
On a regular basis several local organisations (for example Monarch Football Club and Staplehurst Beavers, Cubs and Scout), use the school field.
We are keen to support community events.
