Staplehurst School

School Uniform

(updated July 2024)

We at Staplehurst School, pride ourselves on the smart appearance of all children and we are grateful for parental support in ensuring children are always smartly dressed. Our uniform is both economical and practical and adds to the ethos of the school.

Standard uniform items, such as skirts, trousers, socks and shoes, are available from many high street stores. Items specific to Staplehurst School are available from our online school shop via the link below (New July 2024). Please ensure that all school uniform is named.

For safety reasons, children are not allowed to wear jewellery to school. Children with pierced ears may wear plain studs only, as long as they are able to remove them for taking part in sports. Watches may be worn by children in Key Stage 2 (Years 3 – 6) as long as they are named and do not have an alarm. There is, however, a clock in every room at the school.

Summer and Winter Uniforms

Generally, children wear summer uniform from Easter to the end of the summer term.  Winter uniform is worn from September through to the beginning of the Easter holidays. These dates are weather-dependant and at the Headteacher’s discretion. Parents are reminded of the change from summer to winter uniform and vice versa via the school newsletter.
