Spelling
At Staplehurst School, all pupils are taught in daily spelling lessons following a systematic scheme that covers the national curriculum spelling objectives for each year group. Weekly spelling lists focus on a particular pattern or rule and are embedded throughout the week within these daily sessions. This can include short dictation sessions, spelling games and also sending weekly spellings home to be learned and tested.
