The internet can be a fun virtual playground, if used carefully.

There are lots of ways you can use the internet to search information, play games and talk to your friends.

 

To keep yourself safe you need to follow some simple rules:

1. Do not give out any personal information (e.g. age, address, school, where you are)

2. Do not type anything that you would not be happy for your parents or teachers to read.

3. Remember that some people are not honest about who they are.

4. Any picture that you put on the internet will stay there for ever.
