Year 4 - Topic

Diya has been learning all about the water cycle. She has made her own model so that she can see the cycle in action. She also made a super information sheet to explain what she has found out, taking her time with her presentation and drawing pictures to show the different elements she is writing about.

The children in Year 4 have enjoying a variety of learning activities.

Lots of the children have been enjoying the outdoors since the weather is starting to improve. Amie completed her PRIDE challenge of creating some leaf rubbings in order to learn about the different types of trees around her. Amelie and Ruby (along with many others) have been enjoying lots of long walks with their family - and their new puppy!

Not all of our learning has been created outside though. Rosie has been cooking dinner for everyone at home multiple times a week. Ellie has been showing her family how to look after their mental well being by teaching them how to meditate! Evelyn enjoyed learning about Banksy so much that she created her own work inpired by him and then created a piece of work inspired by the Year 2 artist Henri Rousseau. She says, 'I made a tiger picture like the artist Henri Rousseau, using different layers to create depth. I used sharpies for the tiger, water colour pencils for the background and oil pastels for the leaves which were stuck on.'

Whilst at home, Rosie has used her time to engineer some amazing projects for her cat. As you can see, the cat loves them! How creative!

Ollie has been using his time at home to not only complete some fantastic home learning, but also to go fishing and catch some big fish! How lovely to be able to spend some time in the great outdoors.

Great work Year 4!
