Last week, Year 4 learned all about poetry using the National Oaks Academy videos. They learned about the different techniques we can include to make our poems engaging as well as looking into new vocabulary. 

The learning was centered around the poem 'The Magic Box' by Kit Wright. At the end of the week, they were challenged to write a poem in a similar style but including their own thoughts and ideas. Miss Hayward and Mrs Seymour were blown away by the imagination shown in the poems submitted on Purple Mash and enjoyed seeing the children write about what was important to them.
