Harlequin After School Club

Who we are and what we do

Harlequin Out of School Clubs break the mould by providing a childcare service that is flexible, superior, fun and affordable for children aged 4 – 11 in after school and holiday clubs.

Harlequin’s unique approach fulfils the social, physical and emotional needs of each child as an individual. We strive to maximise the abilities of children and develop their personal and social skills, as well as self-esteem, by providing quality care and learning experiences in a professional manner that is in a happy, safe and fun environment.

Staff are DBS checked and trained in a variety of childcare and education topics. We are Ofsted registered, and our adult to child ratio is unusually high.

After School Club

All children from the Reception up to Year 6 are welcome to attend the after-school club. Places must be booked in advance and you can book 1 – 5 afternoons per week.

At After School Club, a team of staff collect the children from their class at the end of their school day just as a parent would. We provide a healthy snack with a drink at about 4:00pm, which is always popular. The children then have the chance to experience the huge variety of resources and planned activities on offer within our quiet area, active area and craft area. Harlequin will also have use of the outside play spaces on the school grounds. After School Club finishes at either 6:00pm or 6:30pm, depending what is booked.

If children want to attend a club run by the school, e.g. Football, Netball, Gymnastics, etc., no problem. We wouldn’t want to see a child missing out on their other club. Our aim is to be as flexible as possible and to support parents who either work or who need childcare whilst they are in hospital, etc.

Holiday Club

Holiday Club is open from 7:30am – 6:30pm, for either full or half days and is run from our purpose-built facility in Coxheath. During the holidays we provide fun and exciting activities that extend a child’s knowledge, understanding and experiences whilst they play. We arrange one activity per day, and at least one trip per week. Past trips have included kayaking, rock climbing, horse riding, Leeds Castle, a day at the beach as well as outings within our private Forest School. Children can attend the Holiday Club either as soon as they are 4 years old or the Easter before they start school. The Holiday Club is open every day of every school holiday and on inset days too.
