On 17th October 2015 we hosted our 3rd U Can Too Technology Fair

This year’s Technology Fair followed our U Can Too Curriculum Day, held on Thursday 15th.  The Curriculum Day was a day committed to Coding and Technology for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

What is a U Can Too Technology Fair?

What have previous events been like?

Our 2nd U Can Too Mozilla Maker Party. A technology fair in support of Code Week UK.

During planning, we were privileged to receive event funding from

googleand used it to create event to remember.

Needless to say, a great time was had by all who attended!

Exploring the exciting world of computing

We had many exciting activities on offer and welcomed over 350 guests into our event.  Our event attracted families from neighbouring villages, as well as visitors from Snodland, Romford, Surrey and we even welcomed visitors from Korea following our presentation at Mozilla Headquarters during the previous week.

Something for everyone

With computer-based activities and ‘unplugged’ (no digital device needed), there was something for everyone to try at U Can Too. We were very pleased to repeat our very popular Zu3D activity, at which families could create their own animations.

Also on offer were Lilypad e-sewing which uses electric thread to connect lights and a battery to make a circuit and soldering in the form of Sparkfun’s WeevilEye bug.

Can Too at MozFest 2014

Following the success of our first event, Mozilla were excited to hear that we were planning another just 1 week ahead of MozFest Mozilla’s huge festival based in at Ravensbourne College beside the O2 in London and spread over all 10 floors of the college!  In fact Mozilla were so excited about the activities that we had planned, that they invited us to host a mini U Can Too Maker Party at MozFest!
